Well that’s what I’m going to orate here today. And before I start verbalizing what exactly branding is, let me compile few popular fallacies around branding.

Flash sales, lately we Indians got used to it. Few years back Xiaomi played main role in creating this craze of flash sale in India. It was the Mi 3 which was priced aggressively & people were dieing to get it. At that point we didn't have any other options that was even close to it. But today things have changed, there are many options for us but still many companies are following flash sales policy, gradually it has become one of the proven marketing tactics that works here. Today nearly every Chinese OEM's are selling through flash sale. It's human mentality that we get attracted towards those things that is not easily available.
Think of those people who bring some goods in a van or tempo & sells it at very cheap price for 15-20 minutes and vanish from that place, it is the same thing that e-commerce websites are doing in name of flash sale. It's crazy that every companies claim to have sold thousands of units within seconds & unfortunately people do believe it. First flash sale of any company sells out within seconds & the fun fact is that the quantity is always higher than their competitors. I personally never buy goods sold on flash sales. Because I feel that when am gonna pay full price for a product, why should I warmup my fingers & sit in front of computer at the time that's convenient for them & despite of doing all this it totally depends on your luck which I simply cannot digest. Moreover we humans tend to make wrong decision when in hurry & that's what they want. So,next time when there's a flash sale don't get into the hype, rather wait for reviewers to post their views on it. No matter what the manufacturer claims, after all its business & if they are manufacturing something, they are gonna sell it. Specially those companies who say that their manufacturing capacity is not enough to meet the demand. Just Keep calm & let the hype fade away. As we all know, nowadays everyone wants to be Youtuber. And when we talk about YouTube Comedy, Music and Tech are the top three categories videos are made on. Comedy & music is not everyone's cup of tea. Whereas Tech can be copied & managed somehow. And unfortunately such tech reviewers are gradually increasing on YouTube. As a result we are finding more & more morons posting Hands on Review/Quick Review right from the launch event itself. And the sad part is that apart from small YouTube channels even some big media group's tech division are doing that.
It's unfortunate that people watch such videos due to goodwill of the media group. Most of the tech related shows on TV & YouTube made by huge names in media are not good, at least here in India. More than reviews they simply do recitation of the specs. So, here's a list of some reliable Indian Tech Youtubers you should be following: Geekyranjit FoneArena C4ETech TechPP Today there's a huge chunk of Marketing strategies going on behind each and every product/services. Some get it right, others sit scratching head, just because they misunderstood marketing as science and tried to follow someone who already succeeded. But in reality, things keep on changing rapidly & by the time you decide to follow someone who succeeded, things have already changed. One can study others experience for reference, but trying to copy what exactly they did will end up to foolishness. Basically marketing is an art & one should act accordingly. Situation changes from time to time and you need to choose methods that suits you best. If a brand or firm in UK succeeded in a particular strategy, that doesn't mean the same strategy will work in Australia or India. Every country has its own culture & mentality. Things also differ based on economical & geographical situation. Marketing is not a code, which you can simply copy and paste in other markets and things are gonna work. For example, while I work on Social media marketing for a client from US, I would concentrate on Netflix, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook & Instagram mainly, but if the same client was from India I would concentrate on YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram & Twitter mainly. In the same way China has its own social media platform completely different from other countries. And if you are concentrating on chines market, there is no use of wasting time on Instagram. So, one has to analyse the market & act accordingly.
Hope this helps you to decide how to plan things. For further assistance fell free to comment below or you can always follow me on Twitter. I keep tweeting cool stuffs frequently. As we all know marketing is more of art than science and with time one has to keep working on it. For example lets take the case of Oneplus. A smartphone manufacturer making great devices at a very reasonable price. Last year they made their first device named Oneplus One, & people were crazy about it. The only thing that stopped some was the invite system. But that was pretty understandable as they were a new startup & could not match the demand in the market. But today they are pretty matured & have decent amount of goodwill in the market. But despite of it they went with the same crappy invite system which was a huge disappointment for all the Oneplus fans. And today the market scenario has changed & one has lot other options at that price point. Say the moto x style, mi note pro & many more coming on its way. Then why would anyone sit begging for invites when you can simply pay & buy phones from other brands.
Last year they didn't have much competition in that price to spec ratio. But today things have changed except for Oneplus invite system. Hope they kill that invite system very soon and be a huge player in market. Over 10,000 dogs including puppies were killed at last year's summer solstice festival in Yulin, China. And it's going to happen again, unless people like us speak out to stop the horrific event.
One of the most terrifying things about the festival is that it leads to many abductions of household pets by kidnappers looking to make a quick buck as the festival begins. CNN reports that local animal lovers often try to buy the dogs before the butchers can, but the dog sellers often refuse to sell to the activists. The good news is that the Chinese government really is feeling the pressure. According to the Guardian newspaper, the country has started regulating the dog meat trade, and sales dropped by a third from 2013 to 2014. You have their attention on this issue, so another international outcry could very well save thousands of dogs! File you petition at here The Internet in India is at risk. Please make sure you have sent your suggestion to Trai before 24th of this month It's time for winter to say good bye & welcome summer in Ahmedabad. But instead of that it's raining in Ahmedabad. Not just in Ahmedabad but also in many other cities of India, it has been an off season gift from nature. But actually more than gift Am afraid it's due to global warming. We still have enough time to take actions against it. Let's plant a tree each time we buy a new gadget. Hope like this, we would be able to help our planet to restore the damages caused. Please do share if you find this concept innovative. If a companies marketing is mighty enough, it can easily fight even the huge brands in the market. Because nowadays customers are open minded & the tend to accept the new brands & products launched in the market with condition that the marketing is been done in an efficient manner that convinces & creates faith in the customers mind. Regardless the brand value of it's competitor.
